2. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get visited, roughly how people move through the site, and whether changes we make actually help. It does not identify you by name, and IP addresses are anonymised before being stored.
Google Analytics only starts running after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or simply close the banner without choosing, it does not load. The cookies it sets when active are:
- _ga, used to distinguish visitors, expires after roughly 2 years
- _ga_[container id], used to maintain session state for this specific property, expires after roughly 2 years
Google’s own privacy policy covers how it handles this data once collected, at policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Google Fonts
This site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers to fetch the font file, which involves sharing your IP address with Google in the same way any request to any server does. Google’s own documentation states its font delivery service does not set cookies for this purpose. You can read Google’s position directly at developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.
4. The booking form
The booking form on this site is a Jetpack Form, a WordPress feature provided by Automattic. The public facing booking form does not require you to log in and does not set a tracking cookie to submit an enquiry. [Confirm this against the specific Jetpack Forms settings in use, since some optional Jetpack features, such as spam filtering via Akismet, may introduce their own cookie behaviour worth checking before publishing.]
5. Your choice, and how to change it
Your decision is stored in your browser so you are not asked again on every page. To change your mind after the fact, clear this site’s cookies and site data through your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Security, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
Beyond the choice above, every major browser also lets you view, block or delete cookies generally through its own settings, usually under Privacy or Security, which applies across every site you visit, not just this one.
7. If this changes
If we add anything beyond Google Analytics, an advertising pixel for example, this page will be rewritten to say so plainly, and it will be added to the same consent banner rather than assumed to be covered by an existing yes.
